TASUED Mid-Session Break for 2016/2017 Academic Session.

The Vice Chancellor of  Tai Solarin University of Education  (TASUED), Ijagun and the Members of the Senate at its emergency meeting held on Tuesday, 13th June, 2017 has approved that all students should embark on two weeks break as from Wednesday, 14th June, 2017. This is to enable them to prepare properly for their second semester examination. The Senate in particular and the Vice Chancellor wishes them best of luck in their forthcoming examinations. Federal College of Forestry Jericho Ibadan takes tree planting campaign and nature protection to the streets

The management of the Federal College of Forestry Jericho Ibadan staged an awareness campaign on Monday to raise awareness on protecting the nature and continuous tree planting exercise in the country.  The awareness campaign was part of events lined up by institution to mark the world environment day organised  by the United Nations.  Addressing traders during a stopover at the popular Aleshinloye market, the Provost FCF Jericho Ibadan, DR MRS MORENIKE OJO charged the populace to imbibe the culture of clean environment and afforestation to avoid environmental crises.  Reacting, the Iyaloja of Ibadan land, CHIEF MRS LABAKE LAWAL noted that more awareness campaign must be embarked upon by government, non-governmental organizations and institutions to popularise the importance of tree planting and protecting the nature.                           ...

Federal College Of Forestry Jericho Ibadan Embarks on Sensitisation Walk and Tree Planting Exercise to Mark World Environment Day

Provost Federal College Of Forestry Jericho Ibadan, Dr Mrs MORENIKE OJO has called for mass tree planting exercise in the country to avoid environmental degradation. Dr OJO made this know while speaking to Inspiration Fm correspondent ahead of the World Environment Day (WED). The Don lamented that consistent Deforestation has contributed to environmental hazards, which includes Erosion and flooding which has displaced many Nigerians as well destroyed many farm produce. She however noted that as part of Social Responsibility of the institution, it will be staging a road walk on Monday June 5th to raise awareness on protecting the nature which will also include tree planting exercise to mark the World Environment Day . The United Nations has set aside every 5 th day of June to commemorate the World Environment Day and the theme for this year is Connecting People with Nature.
