POLYTECHNIC IBADAN SSANIP JOINS NASU FOR ONGOING STRIKE
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP), the Polytechnic, Ibadan chapter has joined the Non Academic Staff Union of the institution in the ongoing strike to protest the poor welfare of workers. SANNIP Chairman at the institution, Mr AKINOLA GBENGA, confirmed this during an interview with Acadawaka Correspondent, JAMES ODEDIRAN. He however noted that the Academic Staff Union of the institution will not be part of the strike as it has a case in court. Recall that the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of the Polytechnic, Ibadan, commenced an industrial action earlier this month over their eight months unpaid arrears by the Oyo State government.
