The Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) Management wishes all students of the institution the very best in the ongoing Semester Examinations and urges all to put in their best in order to come out in flying colours. Students are allowed to travel home for the mid-semester break after completing their examinations. Students who wish to remain on campus during the mid-semester break will be allowed to do so on condition that they will be of good behavior and conduct themselves in decent and morally upright manner, and in strict compliance with the rules and regulations of the University. Such students must also present written consents of their parents to remain on campus during the break. Newly admitted students who constitute stream B of the University’s admissions this year will continue with their lectures during the ongoing examinations until the commencement of their own examinations on Monday, February 19, 2018. Dangote group of companies has donated #1.2b structure for the Bayero University`s Bussines School. The Business Schools being undertaken by the Aliko Dangote Foundation, according to the President of Dangote Group is part of the efforts to build entrepreneurship in the sub-consciousness of Nigerians through education at the highest level. In his commitment to encouraging entrepreneurship in the country as a way out of the economic doldrums, Nigeria’s business magnate, Aliko Dangote, is donating another N1.2 billion structure for running of business school in Bayero University, Kano ( BUK ). The building which will be handed over to the university management formally next month is a state of the art edifice and will effectively mark the commencement of study of business in the institution and the first in the Northern part of Nigeria. Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom has commissioned an arts gallery in the University of Uyo ( UNIUYO ) in honour of his mother in-law, Late Professor (Mrs.) Stella Idiong. Late Mrs. Idiong was the first female professor of Fine and Industrial Arts in the country, hence the building of the arts gallery by her family to   showcase her works. The gallery was built ten years after her death as a memorial, to also showcase her works and promote art in the institution. Speaking at the Main campus of the University, Governor Emmanuel commended the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Enefiok Essien for allowing the sponsors of the gallery build the arts center in the school.

The  University of Ilorin , UNILORIN has banned its female students from wearing hair attachment and all forms of colourful hair extensions. In a statement released on Monday, January 22, the university management stated that every female student must comply with the university dress code as dressing decently according to the management is a reflection of individual character and personality. Unilorin Dress Code However, information gathered from the university website about dress code confirms the ban on hair attachment, trousers, and clothing for both male and female students.

OOU Matriculation Ceremony for 2017/2018 Session Announced. The  Olabisi Onabanjo University , Ago-Iwoye wishes to inform the general public that the 2017/2018 academic session matriculation ceremony of newly admitted students will hold on Wednesday, 10th January, 2018 at the Lecture Theatre II, Main Campus. All matriculants are expected to be seated by 10.00am. All newly admitted students are to note that the orientation programme would now take place on Monday, 8th January to Tuesday, 9th January, 2018.
