IDAHOSA VARSITY PRODUCES 49 FIRST CLASS GRADUATES






Six Hundred and Two (632) students have graduated from Benson Idahosa University Benin city, Edo state with Forty nine of them bagging a First Class degree.

Vice Chancellor of the institution , Prof .SAM  GUOBADIA while speaking during the 14th convocation ceremony of the school revealed that out the Eighty Four  (84 )Students  graduated with Second Class (Upper Division) , Three Hundred and Eighteen (318 )second class ( Lower Division), while Fifty Two (52) students bagged a third class  degree .



The institution also conferred 60 masters degree, 38 post-Graduate and 1 Doctorate degrees honours on some of the grandaunts.

Federal college of Agriculture Moor plantation Ibadan Protest!!!

Breaking news The academic staff union of polytechnic, Federal college of Agriculture Moor plantation chapter are currently in a peaceful protest over the suspension of four of their members by the provost of the institution Engr Dr B.A Adelekan. Members of the union from various institutions in the south west gathered at the school gate en mass to create awareness to the general public over the maltreatment of their staff. The staff seen carrying placards with various inscriptions said the provost is refusing to implement the orders of the minister of agriculture through ARCN (agricultural research council of Nigeria). Glimmer of hope as ASUU and FG reach an agreement after meeting Read

There might be some hope for Nigerian students affected by the recent ASUU strike action . Following a meeting with the federal government, the union has agreed to an audit of earlier funds . They also agreed on monthly remittances during the period of the audit The leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) met with the minister of labour and employment, Senator Chris Ngige, in Abuja on August 15.  According to NAN, the meeting held at the Minister’s Conference Room, Ministry of Labour in Abuja. At the end of the meeting, they had taken significant steps toward the resolution of the issues raised by ASUU.  Mr Samuel Olowookere, the deputy director, Press, Ministry of Labour, said that during the meeting they agreed on the forensic audit of the sum of N30 billion earlier given to the ASUU in 2010.
